June 2024 Flowers

A close up of bouquets in craft paper

Like the Super Bowl is to football, Mother’s Day is to the flower industry. We all want to show our appreciation to our selfless moms once a year, and flowers have become the reliable gift that we return to year after year. After Mother’s Day, however, the flower industry begins to slow down and doesn’t begin pick up again until June. During the past 2 weeks at Goose Creek Gardens, thousands of beautiful flowers have been harvested. It’s exciting to see the fruits of our labor after months of planning, prepping, planting, and caring for our growing flowers.

During the month of June, we’ll hand make and deliver hundreds of bouquets to grocery stores and florists. Many of you may see one of our bouquets and think how beautiful it is, but have you ever thought about each individual flower and wondered what it was? Maybe a particular flower within one of our bouquets caught your eye, but you didn’t know what it was called. Continue reading to see photos of individual flowers that were put in our bouquets this week, along with their names. This way you can put a flower to a name.
